Price alone doesn't compare anything
One proposal has more modules, another has microinverters, the third says nothing about grid-connection approval. If you don't know what kWp is, how much a roof generates and what needs to be in writing, you compare the final price and find out the rest after it is installed.

Before asking for a quote: use the solar sizing tool
The solar sizing tool is freely available on the E-Nogueira site. You enter your consumption and it estimates the system size and generation. It helps you go into the conversation with the installer knowing the order of magnitude.
What it doesn't do: it can't see shading, the actual roof pitch or the condition of the structure. Only a site visit can, and lesson 4 of SO1 explains why.

By the end, you will know how to:
- explain the path energy takes from the module to the grid and what kWp, kWh and energy credits are;
- compare microinverters (MLPE) and string inverters on shading, monitoring, failure and warranty;
- calculate the kWp for your consumption and estimate generation month by month;
- use the site's solar sizing tool and know what only a site visit can see;
- read a quote and compare proposals in a table using the same criteria;
- follow the grid-connection approval process with the utility and understand the "Fio B" grid-usage charge under Law 14.300/2022 (Brazil's distributed generation law).
