What you will learn?

Read the LED package and compare lamps by lumen, efficacy (lm/W), color temperature and CRI.
Calculate the amount of light and the number of luminaires in a room using the lumens-per-m² method.
Wire single-pole, two-way and intermediate switches, knowing the role of each conductor.
Choose an occupancy sensor, photocell and dimmer that are compatible with LED and have the right IP rating.
Check whether the installation accepts a smart switch or relay module: neutral, power, Wi-Fi.
Build a simple lighting and automation proposal per room, with a price range and without exaggerated promises.

About this course

Changing a lamp seems easy until the living room turns dark, the kitchen turns bluish and the dimmer makes the LED flicker. This course teaches you to do lighting with judgment. You will read the LED package (lumen, watt, efficacy, color temperature, CRI, lifetime, Inmetro mark) and calculate how much light each room needs using the simplified lumens-per-square-meter method, with NBR ISO/CIE 8995-1 (the Brazilian standard, derived from ISO/CIE 8995-1) as a reference. Then you will build the controls every electrician must master: single-pole switch, two-way and intermediate switch, occupancy sensor, photocell and dimmer, with the compatibility rules that prevent flickering LEDs and burned-out sensors. In the last module you enter basic automation: Wi-Fi smart switch, relay module, the neutral in the box, the customer's network, scenes and routines, and how to build an honest proposal per room. There are 6 lessons with examples from homes, small businesses and farms in the interior of São Paulo state, a field checklist and a final project to light 3 rooms. The course does not replace a professional lighting design and does not teach building automation.

Requirements

Have completed EL1 (voltage, current, power, circuit breaker, RCD, "live, dead, live") or master those concepts. EL3 and EL4 are recommended; lesson 3 revisits the control diagrams from EL4.
For those who will carry out the work (A1): voltage tester and basic electrician's tools; every connection made with the circuit off and absence of voltage confirmed.
For those who will only decide (A0): tape measure, phone and the electricity bill.
Phone calculator. No paid software.

FAQ

No. You will do a simplified calculation, enough for a home, a small business and for checking a quote. Professional lighting design uses simulation software, the luminaire's photometric curve and point-by-point verification. When the customer asks for that, call a designer.
No. Someone who only wants to redo the lighting at home with judgment (module 1 and lesson 6) gets the full value of the course without touching a wire. The wiring lessons are for those who already do the work or are starting out, and every intervention requires the circuit to be off, absence of voltage confirmed and a qualified professional when the standard requires.
It teaches the basics that apply to any app: device, network, scene and routine. It does not teach a brand, nor building automation on protocols such as KNX or DALI, which appear only as a mention.
Yes. Lumen, kelvin, CRI and the control diagrams are the same all over the world. The names change (what is called "paralelo" here is the "three-way" in the US and the "two-way" in the UK), and so do wire colors and standards. The references here are Brazilian; outside Brazil, check the local code.
Yes. It is a certificate of completion from E-Nogueira Academy. It proves that you took the course, but it does not replace professional qualification or NR-10 training (the Brazilian electrical safety training).
